The “Theater aan het Vrijthof” is located at one of the most beautiful squares of The Netherlands, the Vrijthof. The theater is accomodated in the Generaalshuis (house of the general) that was build in 1805 by Petrus Franciscus De Ceuleneer, a tabacco trader.

Hospitality.

It is the theater for all inhabitants of Maastricht, but also for all culture and art-loving people from the Euregion. Hospitality is key! The theater aims to offer quality as well as easy accessible programs. The programs are diverse and have something to offer every target group.

Every season there are various shows and performances that non-Dutch speaking visitors can enjoy, for example dance, music (classical, pop, and jazz), or opera and even a number of family shows.
