Hoensbroek Castle is one of the most beautiful, best preserved and most accessible castles in Europe. It is also one of the largest castles in The Netherlands.
The oldest parts date from the 13th century.

Hoensbroek Castle has been beautifully restored. Discover more than forty authentically decorated rooms, dating from the Middle Ages to the 18th century. It gives a good impression of how people lived here through the ages.
In the castle you will discover exciting stories, such as the story of Philip Damian, bishop of Roermond. According to lore, he would have hid in a secret room in the castle so that the French could not find him. Do you want to know how he outsmarted the French? Come to the castle, find the secret room and hear the whole story.

The castel has an elevator and is wheelchair accessible.
